Targeted Provision

 

 

We provide year round, targeted youth provision for ages nine to 19 focused on improving their chances of success and raising aspirations.

We pride ourselves on being responsive to youth issues and always endeavor to provide support in some capacity.

We work in partnership with various organisations to develop and deliver projects that young people will enjoy and choose to commit to; where they can have fun, social interaction and develop a range of life skills. We are currently supporting the following:

Us Girls

Friday night,  Borehamwood 7:30pm to 9:30pm for ages 10 to 16. EXCLUSIVELY for girls!

VENUE: Hertswood Academy, Upper Site, Thrift Farm Lane, Borehamwood, WD6 1TS

A collaboration between Hertsmere Borough Council and Child UK.

Us Girls classes combine dance and fitness with tutorials in fashion, styling, hair and make-up to motivate, build confidence and inspire females to achieve.

A creative journey in to the world of dance and fashion helping you to bring out your individuality and personal style. It’s a very social and laid back atmosphere and you can join in with whichever elements you choose. Learn dance routines to your favorite music and discover how to create the latest make-up, hair and fashion looks.

21st Century Female

Bushey Mentoring Project

Wednesday night, North Bushey, 6:15pm to 8:15pm for ages 12 to 18.

VENUE: Hartspring Centre, 336 Park Avenue, Bushey, WD23 2BJ

A collaboration between Hertsmere Borough Council and Child UK.

A mentoring project has been set up in North Bushey in response to concerns raised by local residents about young people behaving anti-socially. It has the following aims and anticipated outcomes:

Aims:

  •  To engage with young people responsible for perceived anti-social behaviour within the targeted areas.
  •  To support the young people in identifying their needs; to build their emotional resilience, leadership skills and personal development and to reduce their incidences of anti-social behaviour.

 

Outcomes:

  •  The reduction of anti-social behaviour amongst a target group of young people.
  •  Increased skill base; confidence and agency and improved leadership skills shown by the young people.
  •  Increased positive relationships between young people and the local community.
  •  Increase positive perceptions of young people from key stakeholders and the local community.
