e have two skateparks in Hertsmere – one at Aberford Park in Borehamwood and one next to the Furzefield Leisure Centre in Potters Bar.
There is also a set of mobile ramps we call the Mobile Action Zone which can be taken around the borough.
All three facilities are suitable for skateboarders, BMXers and in-line skaters and were developed in consultation with young people in Hertsmere, but we do ask that users wear appropriate protective clothing when using the facilities.
Borehamwood skatepark
The Borehamwood skatepark at Aberford Park offers:

It was built in 2005 and was paid for by Sport England and the Big Lottery Fund, Hertsmere Borough Council, Living Spaces and the Police Authority.

Potters Bar skatepark
The Potters Bar skatepark at the Furzefield offers:

*A Skater ID Card is needed for access to the toilets and changing facilities at the Furzefield Leisure Centre. Application forms are available from reception at the leisure centre.
It was built in 2006 and paid for by Hertsmere Borough Council, Living Spaces, Canada Life and the Potters Bar Rotary Club. It was extended with a bowl in 2009 thanks to the Tomer Allen-Price Memorial Fund and Potters Bar Carnival.

Mobile Action Zone skatepark
The Mobile Action Zone is a set of versatile ramps which are taken round in a trailer. It includes a quarter pipe, flat board and grind rail. The ramps can be set up outside or inside, on tarmac or concrete for skaters and BMXers or just on grass for BMX use only.
