Last Modified January 23, 2013

Where does it cover?

The Radlett district centre - key locations planning brief Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) was adopted by us in 2011 and  sets out the constraints and planning policy contexts for four locations in Radlett.
These are:

  • Location A – Radlett Service Station/Regency House, former Radlett Fire Station, and Burrell & Co.
  • Location B – Newberries car park
  • Location C – Radlett Village Institute
  • Location D – Red House Surgery and Post Office

What does it do?

The brief provides advice on how our existing policies should be applied. Its aim is to ensure that key development opportunities in, and immediately adjoining, Radlett district centre are maximised. It will also guide any development so it enhances the existing character, appearance and function of the area, providing guidance on the types of development – and, in particular, the uses – that would be appropriate at each site. Where required it also advises on more detailed issues such as scale, design, landscaping and possible car parking arrangements.

Welcome to Hertsmere Borough Council’s new website. In February this website will replace the existing www.hertsmere.gov.uk site as the best place to find information about Hertsmere and the services it offers.

Until then, you can explore the website by using this experimental trial (‘beta’) version.

PLEASE BE AWARE – this is a test website. It may contain inaccuracies or be misleading and links may not work. You should not use this site to contact us. Our old website remains the official website for Hertsmere until the end of February.
