Where do I vote?

For the local elections on the 2 May 2019 new ward boundaries were put in place and the same polling stations will be used for the European elections.  You should have received a Polling Card which told you where to vote.

To help identify your polling district, polling station and related details you can use our polling address search page.
The polling stations were open from 7am to 10pm on the day of the election.

What if I can’t get to my polling station?

Our page on Different ways to vote includes details of postal votes (where you can vote in advance of election day by post) and proxy voting (where you can ask someone to vote on your behalf).

  • Postal vote applications and changes deadline is 5pm on Wednesday 8 May 2019.
  • Proxy vote applications and deadline is 5pm on Wednesday 15 May 2019.

Please ensure that where possible you make any requests well in advance.  There are limited situations where you may be eligible to apply for a late proxy after the deadline, please contact the Elections team for more information.
