The Radlett District Centre Key Locations Draft Planning Brief Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) has been approved by the Council for interim development control purposes. It will be a material consideration in the determination of any relevant planning application received as valid on or after 28 June 2010.
The Council has made some changes to the Bushey High Street Conservation Area boundary and the ways in which the area is managed. These changes are the result of a recent assessment of the Conservation Area.

Part 3 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 requires us to take reasonable steps to investigate and, if appropriate, to take formal action to in the event of justified complaints of statutory nuisance.
Complaints about excessive noise are investigated by officers who can take action if the noise is considered to be a statutory nuisance.
Some industrial techniques have potential to cause pollution. Since 1990 many of these processes have required an 'authorisation' from the Environment Agency to operate and they are also inspected annually. Some processes have the potential to cause only air pollution and for these operations the local authority is responsible for their inspection and regulation.
