The Licensing Act 2003 Gives responsibility for the Licensing of Alcohol sales and Regulated Entertainment to the Borough Council

The Licensing Act 2003 (the Act) amalgamates six licensing regimes covering the sale and supply of alcohol, the provision of regulated entertainment and the provision of late night refreshment. It replaces them with a single system of premises licences, thus reducing much unnecessary 'red tape'.
