Operation Breaker launched in Hertsmere

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying people in CCTV images.

Police in Hertsmere are asking for the public’s help in identifying people police would like to speak with in connection with crimes committed in the borough as part of Operation Breaker.

Launched on Monday, January 30, Operation Breaker aims to target those who are committing crime in the borough.

As part of the operation, people are being urged to visit the Herts Police Facebook Icon indicating external link page to view a number of CCTV images of people who police would like to trace in connection with crimes such as theft, making off without paying for petrol and attempted theft.

Chief Inspector for Hertsmere, Dean Patient said: “Having recently joined the team in Hertsmere as the new Chief Inspector my focus is on giving a high quality policing every day, ensuring that it continues to be one of the safest areas of the county.

“Operation Breaker is about protecting the public, preventing crime and pursuing offenders and all my officers and staff are committed to achieving these objectives, as part of the operation. I really want to ensure that Hertsmere is a place that criminals fear to operate in.”

“We can’t achieve results on our own and I’m asking for the public’s help with Operation Breaker. We have a number of people we are looking to speak to in connection with offences committed in Hertsmere, as they may be able to help us with our enquiries. I would urge people to take the time to look at the gallery and contact police as soon as possible if they can identify them.”

Everyone should be able to view the images Icon indicating external link. You do not have to be a Facebook user to view them.  Please contact police via the non-emergency number, 101 if you see anyone you recognise. Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
