A tasty helping hand for heroes

A charity coffee morning raised £235.74 for Help for Heroes, thanks to the baking talents of Hertsmere staff.

A number of council officers baked their own delicious delights and made their colleagues a cuppa in exchange for a donation to the charity, which is Mayor Cllr Linda Silver's charity of the year.
The event, at the Civic Offices in Borehamwood, was to mark the departure of the council's Head of Legal and Democratic Services, Jill Coule, who has gone to pastures new and wanted to do something different for her last day on Friday.
