Field of fun in Bushey

The summer holidays maybe almost over but why not organise one last free family outing before the children go back to school?

Hertsmere Borough Council is supporting a picnic day at Fishers Field on Saturday 4 September.

Cllr Jean Heywood, Environment portfolio holder, said: "People are welcome to bring their own picnic blankets or chairs to relax and take in the atmosphere. As a council we support a lot of free events each year, and this will be a great family day out."

There will be lots going on during the event such as a flower arranging demonstration, bird and bat box making and a leather craft demonstration.

The picnic day will take place between 12pm - 3pm and The Friends of Fishers Field will be onsite to welcome everyone who comes along.

Fishers Field Nature Reserve is located at the end of Fishers Close off Bendysh Road in Bushey.
