Youngsters in Hertsmere can look forward to some of the hottest street dance acts performing in their borough for free this summer at Party in the Park.
Hertsmere Borough Council has organised Party in the Park as part of the line up for this year’s ‘Be There! Do It!’ programme for young people aged between nine - 19 years.
Council Brenda Batten, Leisure, Culture and Health portfolio holder, said: "Party in the Park is just one of the great activities we have organised for young people in Hertsmere this summer, and it will be a great way to kick start the summer holidays in true festival style."
The event will include dancers who have featured in the recent Street Dance 3D movie and on television. Myztikal are the day’s special guests who were recently seen in the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent.
There will also be performances from local bands and music artists, and giant outdoor games to entertain everyone.
Following a consultation with young people in Hertsmere the ‘Be There! Do It!’ holiday activity programme has undergone a major revamp, and now involves a range of new action-packed things to do to throughout the summer break such as go-karting and adventure sports as well as some free things to do like swimming at your local leisure centre.
Party in the Park will take place on Friday 30 July from 2pm-6pm in Aberford Park, Borehamwood. You don't need a ticket, so bring a picnic and come along to enjoy the free entertainment.
