Children and young people have attended the Arsenal Soccer School and benefited from training provided by Arsenal in the Community Coaches.
Hertsmere Borough Council runs the soccer school in partnership with Arsenal Football Club, allowing children from the borough to get expert football coaching.
The sessions were on an invite-only basis, and 40 children used the Arsenal training ground to learn new skills during their half term break.
Cllr Brenda Batten, Leisure, Culture and Health portfolio holder, said: "It’s great that we can provide these specialist activities in Hertsmere. I know the children who have taken part have enjoyed the organised activities and have relished the opportunity to develop their football skills."
The children took part in a range of matches and tournaments, as well as focusing on skills development.
Medals were presented to children who excelled each day in different skills such as passing, dribbling and shooting. Everyone who took part also got a certificate and an Arsenal memento to take home.
The next soccer school will take place in Borehamwood during the first week of August. To find out more and book a place contact Helen Bottomley at Hertsmere Borough Council on 020 8207 7801.
