How are you going to entertain the kids this summer? Are you worried about going out and spending a fortune?
If this sounds like you, there is lots going on around Hertsmere during the school holidays to keep the children amused including a free Teddy Bears’ Picnic on Saturday 8 July.
The popular Teddy Bears’ Picnic will be taking place at the King George Recreation Ground in Bushey between 12 - 3pm.
Not only will there be a chance to enter the best dressed teddy competition, there will be other activities to get involved in including face painting, giant Nintendo Wii and a musical jamboree.
There will be free entrance to the park, although some charges will apply to activities taking place during the event.
The Teddy Bears’ Picnic is part of the two week- long Bushey Festival taking place between 3 July-18 July.
The festival features a wide variety of events to suit all tastes including Mums of Steel, Laughter Therapy and a Dog Show.
Cllr Brenda Batten, Leisure, Culture and Health portfolio holder, said: "The picnic is a great day out and is always popular with families in the borough. It’s the 27th Bushey Festival this year, and there’s going to be lots to see and do for everyone."
