Four young people received prizes at a special presentation after impressing a panel of judges with their designs for our corporate Christmas card.
The winning design came from Molly Saunders, aged five from Borehamwood, who received a £50 gift voucher for her drawing of a snowman and robins. Molly's design will be our official Christmas card and sent as an electronic card.

Molly's winning design
Molly's design was chosen from more than 100 drawings, paintings and collages submitted by schoolchildren throughout the borough. The panel of judges included the Mayor and Mayoress of Hertsmere, Councillor Martin Saunders and Mrs Jane Saunders.
Suraj Shah, aged 10 from Potters Bar, came second and received a £30 gift voucher. Judges could not decide between two drawings for third place so both Imogen Cawthorne, aged 7 from Bushey, and Harry Lucey, aged 8 from Borehamwood, got a £20 gift voucher for their festive designs.

All winners received a certificate, a large scale copy of their design and a batch of their own cards to give to their friends and family.
Sajida Bijle, acting Chief Executive, said: "We were overwhelmed by the number of entries this year and very impressed with the level of talent shown. Children had obviously put a lot of effort into their designs so I'd like to thank everyone who entered.
"I would like to congratulate Molly on winning the competition. Her drawing stood out from the start and her design is the basis for our Christmas card this year."
Mayor Councillor Martin Saunders said: "It was very difficult choosing the winners as we had over a hundred entries and the standard was very high but we were particularly impressed with the imaginative designs by our four winners.
"I would like to congratulate Molly, Suraj, Imogen and Harry and thank everyone who entered a design to the competition. I'd like to give a special thanks to the teachers who helped coordinate entries from their schools. We enjoyed looking at the designs as it was clear a lot of time and effort went into them."
The Christmas card competition was open to all schoolchildren in the borough aged 11 or under.
