During the Second World War every person, young or old, was encouraged to ‘muck in and make do’ and do their bit for national security.

Now the Hertsmere Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership wants to educate and empower the people of Borehamwood to prevent ‘invasion’ by burglars and to help them have strong defences.

Claim your ‘rations’ of free equipment and literature by coming along to our roadshows to see what we can do to help you fight crime and anti-social behaviour. We need YOU to join our Home Guard (Neighbourhood Watch) and Land Army (Rural Watch).

You can also bring along bikes, tools, mobile phones etc. for security marking at the Mobile Police Station.

To find out more visit our stand at Tescos in Borehamwood on Tuesday 11th July and Wednesday 12th July, 2006 between 10am and 3pm.

There will be top tips and advice on issues such as crime prevention, Neighbourhood Watch, the Safe Project – a Handyman scheme for victims and vulnerable people; property marking; fire home safety checks and much more.
