"The aim of the event is tackle localised crime and disorder through positive action. The police are able to offer reassurance and advice to the local community, whilst fire officers provide information on safety at home. The council are able to tackle graffiti, fly tipping and other issues that create an unsafe, unfriendly atmosphere that we know raises the fear of crime.”
