Language and cultural support
The County Council supports children who do not have English as their first language, operating in nursery and primary schools.
The important parts of the service are:
- working in classrooms using bi-lingual classroom assistants
- providing bi-lingual resources
- supporting and strengthening home/school links
- interpreting and translation
