Contacting us

All enquiries from journalists to the council must come through Corporate Communications.

Communications is at the heart of the council's business - it is the link between the public, the business community, elected politicians and our staff.

As well as viewing press releases and the latest edition of Hertsmere News (the council's magazine for local residents), you can use our section of the website to find out more about our communications strategy and overall communications vision.

As part of our responsibilities, the Corporate Communications office:

  • is responsible for maintaining good relations with the media
  • issue regular press releases, arrange press conferences and press briefings, and use personal contacts to achieve better and more consistent coverage
  • identify and notify the media of photo opportunities.

We are fully aware of the tight deadlines many journalists work to and endeavour to get an answer to any enquiry as soon as possible.
