On Thursday 5 May there will be local elections as well as a national referendum on the UK’s voting system.
The annual canvass is the annual audit of people who are eligible to vote in elections. The register is updated over the canvass period.

You are welcome to apply for a proxy application form if you are unable to go to your Polling Station on election day. A proxy is someone who will go to the polling station and vote with your authority on your behalf.
You can only vote in elections if your name is on the Register of Electors.
