Involvement with the budgetary process
Each year the Council plans its spending for the following year.
Do you know where the money comes from? Do you know how we make decisions? Do you run a mile when people mention budgets?
Each year a budget is presented to Cabinet and Cabinet Scrutiny in January and then goes to Council in February for approval. Any member of the public can attend these meetings and have copies of any budget papers. Questions can also be asked through ward members or even directly at Council.
The council is interested in seeking views on how is best to consult on the budget process. If you would like to ask or make any comments about the budget process, including ideas about how it could be improved in future years, please contact customer.services@hertsmere.gov.uk or use the online form.
