Design our Christmas card!

Do you have an artistic streak? Would you like to design our Christmas card?
While it may seem like a long way off, the big day is only 12 weeks away and so for the fifth year running, we are organising our Christmas card competition.
Budding artists, aged 11 and under, are invited to take part and the winning design will be the front cover of our corporate Christmas card. It will be sent to our partner organisations as an electronic greeting card and also be reproduced by a designer and uploaded here on our website.
The Mayor of Hertsmere Cllr Peter Knell, will choose the winning entry. Cllr Knell said: “I am very much looking forward to judging the competition and seeing the creative designs that children come up with. We have had hundreds of entries in previous years so it really is quite a tough competition, so good luck to you all.”
The winner will receive £50 gift voucher, second and third place winners will receive a £30 and £20 gift voucher respectively. All three receive certificates and will be invited to a presentation with the Mayor at our offices in Borehamwood in November where they will also be presented with a pack of their winning designs.
The rules for the competition are:
• Artists must be aged 11 or under and live in Hertsmere.
• The design should be no more than A4 (29.5 cm by 21 cm).
• It can be produced in pencil, pen and ink, paints or crayons.
• It should be one-dimensional.
• The winners will be required to take part in publicity.
Entries should be sent to:
