Last call for voter registration forms
22-Nov-2011 10:24:06
If you have received a red and white stripy calling card from us in the last few weeks, along with a voter registration form, please complete and return the form to us immediately. Every household is required to complete the form by law, regardless of whether you want to vote or not.

Have you received one of these through your door?
Council staff have been knocking on the doors of the properties that have not replied yet and generally had a good response. But there are still a few people who have not sent their form back – perhaps they were out when we called – but this is their last opportunity to respond. The final deadline for the council to receive forms is this Friday, 25 November.
Jo Bateman, Hertsmere’s Principle Electoral Services Officer, explained: "We have sent a number of reminders and our canvassers have done a great job in getting people to complete the form on the doorstep but now is the cut off.
"If you haven’t sent your form back to us you really need to. Being on the electoral register isn’t just about being able to vote in elections – any credit check will look to see if you are on the register and if you’re not your request will be turned down. And this isn’t just for mortgages and loans, it also applies to mobile phone contracts and clothes catalogues."
If you’re worried about your details being available and sold on just tick the edited register column, this means your details won’t be passed to any third parties.
So if you haven’t responded please complete and return your form immediately or do it online
