Ask and we will answer

Got a burning question for the council?

If you have a question for the next full council meeting on 21 April, you need to get it in to us in writing by midday on Wednesday 7 April.

The first five questions received will be included in the agenda and responded to at the council meeting and any other questions will be included in the Information Digest and written answers provided.

Any resident in the borough or anyone who owns premises or a business in the borough may submit a question for consideration.  Please note that any related statements submitted with the question will not be included in the meeting agenda.

Questions must relate to a matter within the council's remit but must not seek information which is about an individual or organisation or which is Data Act protected.  Neither may questions relate to specific decisions taken or to be taken as part of the council's regulatory functions, such as a licence or planning application.

Questions should be limited to one subject and if we receive a number of questions on the same topic we may merge them.  You do not have to physically ask your question at the meeting but the appropriate Executive councillor will provide a response. Written copies of the answers will be provided to any questioners if present.

Questions for the full council meeting in April should be addressed to:
