Business as usual - Friday

It is business as usual today, Friday, for the majority of services provided by Hertsmere Borough Council.

All our waste crews are out and about across the borough, attempting to collect bins wherever possible. If crews are not able to access roads on the first attempt, they will return to them later in the day should conditions improve. However it is inevitable that many locations will still be inaccessible for our vehicles and therefore if your green / brown bin and/or blue box has not been collected by the end of the day you should take them in and re-present them on your next scheduled collection day for those bins.

Residents whose green/brown bin and/or blue recycling box was not collected on Wednesday or Thursday, are also advised to take them in and re-present them in a fortnight, on your normal collection day.

Civic Offices at Borehamwood, and the two area offices at Bushey and Potters Bar are open as normal.

Fifty Plus guitar lessons are on this afternoon at Maxwell Community Centre in Borehamwood but other Fifty Plus activites have had to be cancelled.  All activities are expected to resume on Monday.

Elsewhere all other services have been running well, with minimal disruption.

Residents should continue to check our website for all the latest information or can contact us on 020 8207 2277.

We have been working hard to minimise any disruption and thank you for your patience.
