Ever wanted to ask the council something?

If you have a question for the council, now's your opportunity to ask it as we invite questions for the next full council meeting on 19 November.
All questions for this meeting need to be sent to us in writing by midday on Monday 10 November 2008. The first five questions received will be included in the agenda and responded to at the council meeting; any other questions will be included in the Information Digest and written answers provided.
Any resident in the borough or anyone who owns premises or a business in the borough can submit a question for consideration at a council meeting. Please note that any related statements submitted with the question will not be included in the meeting agenda.
Questions must relate to a matter within the council's remit but must not seek information which is about an individual or organisation or which is Data Act protected. In addition, questions should not relate to specific decisions taken or due to be taken as part of the council's regulatory functions, such as a licence application or planning application.
You do not have to physically ask your question at the meeting but the appropriate councillor will provide a response at the meeting. Written copies of the response will be provided to any questioners if present and responses will be included in the minutes of the meeting.
Questions should be limited to one subject and if we receive a number of questions on the same topic we may merge them together.
Questions for the next full council meeting should be addressed to:
