Got a burning question?

If you have a burning question you would like answered at the next full council meeting, the deadline for receiving them is noon on Monday 2 April.
The first five questions received in writing will be included in the agenda and responded to at the meeting on 18 April; any other questions will be included in the Information Digest and written answers provided.
Any resident in Hertsmere or anyone who owns premises or a business in the borough may submit a question for consideration at a council meeting.
Questions must relate to a matter within the council's remit but must not seek information which is about an individual or organisation or which is Data Act protected. Neither may questions relate to specific decisions taken or to be taken as part of the council's regulatory functions, such as a licence application or a particular planning application.
Questions should be limited to one subject and if we receive a number of questions on the same topic we may "compound" them. The questioner will not have to physically ask his or her question at the meeting. The appropriate Executive member will provide a response at the meeting. Written copies of the answers given will be provided to any questioners if present.
Questions for the Council Meeting on 18 April 2007 should be addressed to:
