The Mayor of Hertsmere, Councillor Martin Saunders, opened the Kemp-Welch gallery at Bushey Museum this week, after paintings of national importance by the local artist Lucy Kemp-Welch had been in storage for over 20 years.

The Kemp-Welch gallery is dedicated to the paintings of Lucy Kemp-Welch who died in 1958.  The collection mainly consists of watercolours and oil paintings of horses.
