Scouts from Borehamwood's German twin-town Offenburg paid a visit to the Civic Offices this month.
The visit was arranged as part of the scout centenary and more than 100 scouts were welcomed by Hertsmere's Mayor Councillor Martin Saunders.
The visit formed part of the scouts' two week annual summer camp - each year they visit a different country.
