Services running as normal

It is business as usual this week for the services provided by Hertsmere Borough Council, despite further snowfalls over night and at the weekend.

All our waste crews are out and about across the borough, attempting to collect bins wherever possible so residents should put their black bin and black box out as normal.

It is likely that some roads will still be inaccessible to our vehicles but wherever possible attempts to collect will be made.

Residents whose green/brown bin and/or blue recycling box was not collected last week should take them in and re-present them next week, on your normal collection day.

Our street cleaners are also out helping Herts County Council by shovelling snow from town centre areas to make it easier for pedestrians.

Civic Offices at Borehamwood, and the two area offices at Bushey and Potters Bar are open as normal.

We have been working hard to minimise any disruption and thank you for your patience.

Residents should continue to check our website for all the latest information or can contact us on 020 8207 2277.

If you need to talk to someone about gritting, highways issues and potential school closures, contact Hertfordshire County Council on 0300 123 4040 or visit Hertfordshire County Council website.
