Free school meals
Free school meals are offered to children of families who are in receipt of Income Support or Income based Job Seekers Allowance, support under part V1 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 or Child Tax Credits.
Home to school travel support
The Local Education Authority (LEA) may provide free transport, or meet the cost of travel, between home and school.
Private nursery grants
Hertfordshire County Council, the Local Education Authority (LEA), is responsible for nursery grants for private nurseries.
School clothing grants/vouchers
School clothing grants are payments given at the discretion of local authorities to assist with the cost of school clothing for state-maintained school pupils whose families are receiving particular state benefits or have a low income.
Sixth form access funds
Additional support for students aged 16 to 19 is available from Hertfordshire County Council as the Local Educational Authority (LEA).
