You can now grab something to eat and drink at Aberford Park in Borehamwood.
A cafe offering hot and cold drinks, ice creams and snacks will be open tomorrow, Friday 13 August, from 8am to 4pm.
The cafe is located next to the community centre and includes toilets. The actual building was completed last year but it has taken time to sort out the utilities.
Councillor Jean Heywood, Environment Portfolio Holder, said: "The cafe is a welcome addition to the park which already has lots to offer. It really has something for everyone including two children's play areas, a skatepark, an 'extreme' sport area and multi sports court area as well as beautiful features such as the lake and fountain.
"Visitors can now have an ice cream on the patio when the sun's out and a hot drink inside in the colder months."
For three years running, the park has been awarded a Green Flag, a national standard that it is a quality green space.
Cllr Heywood added: "Unfortunately it has taken a bit of time for the cafe to open, but once it is I'm sure it will be well-used."
The cafe will be open over the weekend and next week from 8am to 4pm. The opening hours will be confirmed after the first week of business.
