Cut your energy bills

If you want to cut your energy and fuel bills or just want to find out how you can help combat climate change and lead a more sustainable lifestyle, come along to a free event at the Civic Offices in Borehamwood on Monday 23 March, from 6pm to 9pm.
You will be able to browse a host of information stands on topics including energy efficiency, renewable energy, green transport, saving water, recycling and composting waste. A range of energy and environmental experts will demonstrate all the things you can do to save energy and cut your bills and will be on hand to answer any questions.
Councillor Jean Heywood, Environment Portfolio Holder, said: "Everyone has no doubt heard of climate change but not everyone will know how they can help combat it.
"There are many things we can all do to lower our carbon emissions - from switching to energy efficient light bulbs to insulating our homes - which will reduce our impact on the environment and actually save you money.
"Everyone has a part to play and this event will help show residents and small businesses what they can do to reduce their own carbon footprints."
Diamond Oteghile, Energy Saving Trust Hertfordshire County Manager, said: "In the current financial climate, this is a fantastic time to both save money and help the environment. The event aims to help people get practical tips and suggestions on how to do this."
The event, organised by Hertsmere Borough Council and the Energy Saving Trust Advice Centre East of England, will be informal so you can just turn up on the day and browse at your leisure.
