Recycle on-the-go in Radlett

New recycling litter bins have been installed along Watling Street in Radlett so that residents and visitors can recycle their waste while out and about.

The new bins have a section for recycling plastic bottles and drinks cans and a section for normal waste such as crisp packets and takeaway containers.

Steve Burton, Head of Waste and Street Scene at Hertsmere Borough Council, said: "Residents are already recycling their waste at home so we hope this will encourage them to also recycle while they're on-the-go and take pride in their environment.  Otherwise it ends up in landfill and sites are rapidly running out of space."

Recycling litter bins are also installed along Shenley Road in Borehamwood.
