Does your prized car need somewhere safe to park? Are you fed up with not being able to find a parking space near your home? If this sounds familiar, then why not rent a garage from Hertsmere Borough Council?

The council has around 1,800 garages across Borehamwood, Radlett, Shenley, Bushey, Potters Bar and South Mimms and availability varies across the borough.

The garages vary in cost depending on location, but all are less than £40 per month to rent.

Cllr John Graham, Finance and Property Portfolio Holder, said: “You don’t need to be a council tenant to rent one of our garages. Our garages are very popular - at any one time, up to 80 per cent are rented out. At the moment we have approximately 50 available to rent across Hertsmere.

“In some areas there is a waiting list for a garage, in which case your details will be added to the list. However, if you require a garage in an area where there is a vacancy or perhaps location is less important to you, we can usually offer you a garage within a few days of receiving your request.”
