Volunteers are very welcome at an event to promote wildlife at Fishers Field Local Nature Reserve at Bushey Hall on Sunday 1 June.

Local residents and volunteers from the Friends of Fishers Field Community Group will be getting back to nature by building homes for wildlife at this beautiful green space.  They will be installing hedgehog hibernation boxes and loggeries for stag beetles and other wood-boring insects.  The day's activities will also involve sowing wildflower seeds and plants to provide nectar for insects and autumn seeds for birds.

If you would like to get involved in the day, please contact Francesca Turze, Area Parks Officer at Hertsmere Borough Council, on freephone 0800 731 1810, or Alex Laurie, Project Officer at Countryside Management Service, on 01727 848168.
