Hertsmere Borough Council is teaming up with Hertfordshire Highways to spend two weeks blitzing the area to improve key roads within the Borough.
The Council will be coning off roads to stop people parking, to allow street cleaners to sweep the roads and the surrounding pavements, whilst Herts Highways will be cleansing the gullies.
Alex Holloway, Operations Manager at Hertsmere, said: "We are working closely with Highways to tie in our work together to make the most impact and cause the least inconvenience to residents. This is a real opportunity to show what joint working can achieve for the benefit of those who live in the Borough.
"Over time litter and dirt can build up. By working closely with Hertfordshire Highways, we can make a real difference - we hope people will notice and be pleased with the improvement."
The cleaners will start in Bushey on Saturday 13 January, targeting 35 hotspot areas over five days. On Saturday 27 January the cleaners will move to Aldenham, and then between 28 January and 11 February the team will tackle 39 roads in Borehamwood before completing the work on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 February in Potters Bar.
