Next Tuesday, 3 April, sees the second of a free 'walk and talk' event at Hartspring Meadow in North Bushey.
Hertsmere Borough Council and The Countryside Management Service (CMS) arranged the guided walk as part of two consultation events.
The aim is for peopleto learn more about the management plan developed for the site and suggest other ideas to further improve the site in the future.
Francesca Turze, Area Parks Officer at the council, said: "Our guided walks aim to inform people about the plans in the setting to actually put the proposals in to context.
"Proposals to improve the Hartspring Meadow include creating additional wildflower meadows and planting more hedgerows to help local wildlife. Other ideas include installing three picnic benches made from recycled materials and an interpretation board, for the benefit the local community."
CMS Project Officer Petrina Llewellyn is looking for keen volunteers: "I am hoping to hear from anyone who would like to get involved with tasks such as scrub management, hedge planting or surveying of the flora and fauna. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet other people and make a real contribution to your local environment."
If you would like to take part in the walk - which starts at noon - just turn up on the day. The meeting place is in the car park off Hartswood Close, Bushey.
