Mayor finds out about ABC

The Mayor of Hertsmere went out and about to meet the waste operatives on their rounds during the first week of Additional Bin Collections.

Mayor Councillor Martin Heywood went out on Thursday, 9 November, between 10am and 12.30pm with a crew in Borehamwood.

"I had a good time with the crew and they made me very welcome. It was interesting to see what their job entails - it's physically demanding and extremely busy," said Cllr Heywood. "I got involved clearing the new black bins, and I have to say I was surprised just how much plastic and cans were being recycled."
