The winners with their prizes made of recycled glass
Over the last three weeks recycling officers have been out and about holding roadshows in the community to promote recycling glass and a competition was held with drinking glasses made from recycled bottles as prizes.
The question was, how long would a computer run for on the energy saved from recycling one glass bottle?
The answer is 25 minutes and the two winners picked at random were Rebecca Hedges from South Mimms and Mike Aston from Potters Bar, pictured above.
