Play Space!

It's time for play, time to have your say.  Two play spaces are being created in Borehamwood.  Find out how you can get involved.

Play Safe!

Two play areas are being created in Borehamwood: Aberford Park (redesign of small toddler play area) and on the Farriers Way Estate.

Hertsmere Borough Council has been given money from a national fund to do this and has been consulting over the summer to see what families would like.

Aberford Park toddler play area is the first site to be redeveloped.  The toddler play area will close in December 2009 whilst the relandscaping takes place.  The new play space will open in April 2010.  New elements will include grass mounds, tunnels, stone boulders, seating and sensory planting to create a more natural play space.

Farriers Way Estate
The project team will be consulting with local residents on the Farriers Way Estate in 2010 for ideas and location of the new play space.  More details will follow shortly.
