A description of what each park in Hertsmere has to offer, i.e sporting and play facilities, lakes, picnic areas, woodlands...
The first part of the park was purchased in 1888 and in total the land cost £3,257 to acquire. The main feature of the park is the lake system which functions by collecting all the surface water from the local area. The lakes were reshaped and cleared of silt during 1999, the banks planted and fountains installed. The lakes now form home to many varieties of water foul and wildlife.
