Welcome to Hertsmere's waste and recycling section.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: There is a particular problem with contamination in the green bin at the moment. Please remove any sellotape/packaging tape from cardboard boxes and DO NOT put any type of plastic in your green bin. This includes plastic bags, black sacks, plastic bottles, plastic packagin/wrapping, toys/games, plastic furniture, etc. Hertsmere's compostable caddy liners can be used for wrapping food in - no other liners will be accepted.

 

Waste and Recycling

Here you will find information on your kerbside collections including details of what can go in your green bin, brown bin and blue box. Plus you can find out which week each bin will be collected on the annual collection calendar and details of local recycling sites, news and events and commercial waste and recycling.
