Recycle your newspapers and magazines.

The following can go in the blue box:

Yes please

• Junk mail and envelopes
• Newspapers and magazines
• Brochures, catalogues and directories including Yellow Pages

No thanks

• Wrapping paper
• Plastic windows (please tear these out first)
• Shrink wrap e.g. magazine wrappings

Please note: Large quantities of dyed coloured paper, i.e. when ripped the fibres are actually coloured, are best off in the green bin - along with any brown paper or paper bags.

Where does the paper go?

All paper from the blue boxes in Hertsmere ends up at Aylesford Newsprint in Kent where it is reprocessed into new newsprint.
