Removal of clinical waste from domestic properties.
Clinical waste is mainly produced by hospitals, health clinics, doctor's surgeries and veterinary practices, but also arises from residential homes, nursing homes and private households.
Examples of clinical waste include:
- human or animal tissue
- blood or other bodily fluids
- excretions
- drugs or other pharmaceutical products
- swabs or dressings
- syringes, needles or other sharp instruments
There is no charge for removal of clinical waste from domestic properties. Please complete the clinical waste collection application form
and return it to us at the address on the form.
For commercial clinical waste, there is a charge depending on the amount and number of collections. Each property is individually assessed for charges. Please see commercial waste services.
