Real Nappies

Choose to re-use with real cloth nappies and get up to £50 cashback.

On average a baby from birth to potty can use 4,000 to 6,000 disposable nappies. This is not only costly to the parent but also to the environment. Around eight million disposable nappies are thrown away in the UK every day and end up in landfill sites in some cases taking up to 500 years to fully decompose.

In contrast the natural fibres used in cloth nappies allow them to be re-used reducing the amount of waste produced and also the cost spent on disposable nappies.

Cashback Scheme

Residents who choose to re-use with real nappies can claim up to £50 cashback through the Waste Aware partnership of Hertfordshire councils.

Please download the real nappy application form , then return along with receipt of nappy purchase and a copy of your child’s birth certificate to:
