Free forum for private landlords
22-Sep-2009 09:51:35
Landlords in the area are being invited to a forum offering tips and advice on getting the most out of renting their properties.
Hertsmere Borough Council has organised the free event for private sector landlords and it will include sessions on how landlords can get grants, how to avoid a bad tenant, working with letting agents and the council and an open question session.
Cllr Hannah David, portfolio holder for housing, explained: "Many people privately rent their homes so there are lots of landlords out there who may not know what help is on offer to them.
"We are writing to the many landlords we are already in contact with but we know there are many more and we hope they can come along for a couple of hours to get advice."
The forum takes place on Thursday 15 October from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at Hertsmere Borough Council Civic Offices, Elstree Way, Borehamwood, Herts WD6 1WA
The event is free of charge and parking is free in the adjacent car park after 6.30pm.
If you wish to attend, please register your place with Alan Smith, Housing Officer Hertsmere Borough Council by writing to the above address, or emailing alan.smith@hertsmere.gov.uk by 9 October.
