There's no place like a play scheme!

Are you finding it difficult to entertain the kids this summer holiday? If so, there are still some places available on one of the council's play schemes taking place next week.

Children will be able to learn and improve their drama skills under the leadership of the council's play scheme team - before putting on a performance of The Wizard of Oz.  The scheme will take place from Monday 23 to Friday 27 August in Shenley.

Brenda Batten, Portfolio Holder for Leisure, Culture and Health, said: "The council's play schemes have proved to be very popular with children and their parents.  There are lots of activities to entertain young people from arts and crafts to music and drama.

"I'm very much looking forward to seeing the children's version of The Wizard of Oz."

Play schemes allow children and young people to come together over the holidays to learn new creative skills and also give parents piece of mind that their children are safe and having fun at an affordable price.
