If you're 15-19 years old, like to show off your moves on the dancefloor and get bored in the evenings, get down to the Furzefield Centre in Potters Bar this Wednesday.
Because an exciting new sports programme is coming to town which will give you something to do late in the evening. Dance sessions are being offered on Wednesdays from 9.15pm to 10.15pm and admission is free for the first six weeks.
It's all part of the Twilight Sports Programme which was launched earlier in the year. Following a successful pilot of football sessions late in the evening in Borehamwood, the scheme is being rolled out across the borough in Bushey and Potters Bar with a range of activities on offer. The aim of the scheme is to encourage young people to be more active and give them something to do in the evening.
The Twilight Sports Programme is co-ordinated by Hertsmere Borough Council in conjunction with Hertsmere Leisure and Hertfordshire Constabulary.
Helen Bottomley, Community Sports Officer, said: "The sessions have been very popular in Borehamwood so we wanted to offer them to young people in Potters Bar as well.
"The sessions are special because they offer something for young people to do in the evening when they can get bored as other places are closed."
There's no need to book, you can just turn up on the night.
