There's lots on offer at King George Recreation Ground in Bushey this weekend, so whether you want to chill out with some culture or get some exercise, there's something for everyone.
Poetry in the park - Saturday 5 July, 12-1pm
Come along and meet local poet Alyson Torns for a one-hour poetry workshop. Create your own text poem and send it to your friends! Bring your mobile phone but pens and paper will be provided. Aimed at young people aged over ten and families welcome. This event is free.
Walk for Diabetes UK - Sunday 6 July, 11am
This sponsored walk starts at 11am at La Dolce Vita café to raise money for Diabetes UK. All ages and abilities are welcome and everyone across the finishing line will get a medal. The Mayor, Councillor Sandra Parnell, will be there supporting this event. This event is free to take part in and although it is sponsored, you can still come along on the day to take part.
Jazz in the park - Sunday 6 July, 2-4pm
Listen to music from the movies by Barbara Jay and Tommy Whittle. This popular jazz band will play songs such as 'Fly Me To The Moon' and 'Autumn Leaves' as well as many other hits from the past. This event is free.
