New activities and old favourites for fifty-plus

The new Fifty-Plus brochure is out now offering a host of weekly activities, courses, coach trips, special events and a short break for the over 50s in Hertsmere.
As well as all the old favourites, there are new activities to choose from including Latin dancing, creative writing, poetry, tai chi and you can even do your cycle proficiency training for free!
New groups
There are also new groups which all start on Friday 2 May:
- Table Tennis - 10am - 12pm
Maxwell Community Centre, Borehamwood
Suitable for all abilities - Art - 10am - 12pm

For those with a knowledge of rubber bridge
Coach trips
The first coach trip is on Thursday 15 May to London for a unique and entertaining day of royalty, pageantry and stirring sound of the Guards Band. Other trips include Groombridge Place Gardens and Enchanted Forest in June and the Cotswolds in July which includes a canal ride with cream teas.
Other events/short break
Other events include painting and walks in Shenley Park, quiz nights with a chip supper and a three-night short break in the Yorkshire Dales in September.
Costs
Costs are variable for each activity and event.
