Teenage fun in the sun

News Item Details

Date

Designing fashion, learning to fish, roller skating, horse riding, cooking, singing, dancing and acting are just some of the activities young people can get involved in this summer.

The fun kicks off on Monday 28 July with swimming, pavement art, circus skills and water walkerzing (walking on water in a giant hamster ball!) and finishes with an end of summer show that young people can plan, organise and perform at.

The programme of activities for 11 to 19 year olds is split between age groups - Be There! Do it! is for 11 to 13 year olds, gmooh - 'get me out of here' is for 13 to 16 year olds and i:meet is for 16 to 19 year olds.  Some activities are open to all ages but some are for a particular group as consultation with young people showed they wanted to socialise with people of a similar age.

Some activities are free and some have a cost, some you can just turn up to and some you need to book.
